I hugged a chicken. A full on embrace.
Now that I have your attention, lets talk about the rest of the event put on by the Strong Family Farm (http://www.strongfamilyfarm.org/). It was a perfect day and the event ran smoothly. The race management was Firstmile-Fitness (http://firstmile-fitness.com/) and the time was kept by Last Mile Racing (http://www.thelastmileracing.com/).
After the kids run, it was the adult’s turn for the 5K. Congratulations to Brian Nelson of Vernon who came in first in the men’s division at 17:09 as well as Jillian Ellefson who came in first in the female division at 23:24.
The person in the chicken mascot suit will remain nameless for now, but was very friendly.
