A few weeks ago it happened. The guy plowing my street was trying to make the street wider , he pushed the snow bank in, completely covering my sidewalk with ice chunks and snow. I want to thank him for that , he must know I’m trying to be a more patient person and that I have missed a few workouts.
In order to make a more passable sidewalk , I had to shovel a little onto my yard . The good news is with a couple of warmer days that path is now a little bit of visible grass. Actual green grass!
To the die-hards who haven’t let the winter slow them down a bit
- Who have still trained for and participated in events
- Who haven’t missed a work out because it was too cold to go out and start the car
- Who haven’t thought-”well I can’t get fresh, local, organic vegetables, so I’ll just settle for this hot chocolate and some brownies."
- Who haven’t counted shoveling, then re-shoveling, then re-shoveling…as your workout
My hat’s off to you -for the rest of us, spring is coming, FAST! There is a light at the end of the tunnel and it is not an oncoming train! It’s evident with a little bit of grass, I can see that there is no stopping it now. Good thing because there is so many great events coming up this year. 5K’s, mud runs, color runs, farmers markets, and the list goes on. I am so excited!
